Technology, Sports, and Community Development, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, has worked with families in our community since September 1999. Since then, our mission has been to strengthen our community and empower our youth by providing programs that enhance physical and educational well-being while fostering stronger connections between adults and children through sports and technology.

At TSCD, our dedicated and passionate team is the driving force behind our mission. Each member brings a distinctive set of skills and experiences that enable us to make a positive change in our local community.

Larry Franklin Founder & CEO

Larry graduated from Hamilton High School, where he earned a full athletic scholarship. He went on to earn a B.A. in Education from Jackson State University and a master’s degree from Cambridge University. During his youth, Larry achieved his lifelong dream of playing in the NFL alongside NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees Walter Peyton, Doug Williams and Lee Roy Selmon. After his NFL career, he moved back to his hometown with aspirations of giving back to his community. Larry has served as an art teacher, track coach, and head football coach, where he led his teams to three championships at Trezevant High School. Amongst his notable contributions, he also created a three-day summer football camp for the FCA sports program that allowed inner-city players from various high schools to unite and practice together at local churches.

Stanley Woods TSCD

Stanley Woods Co-Founder & Director of Technology

Stanley is a local business owner with over forty years of technical experience. He graduated from Southside High School and went on to become an expert in the I.T. field. Stanley is well-versed in various skills, including coding, web design, POS application, custom PC build, and social media management. He has used these skills to offer support to local businesses and individuals in need. With his wealth of knowledge, he hopes to continue to be a benefit to his community.
